Newborn Hearing Program
The Newborn Hearing Screening contract is a collaborative effort between the
state of Tennessee, Department of Health, and the Center on Deafness to develop
and implement statewide education and training on newborn Hearing screening,
audiologic/diagnostic assessment, early intervention, data reporting and the
monitoring of client outcomes. Programs are provided to a variety of audiences
including hospital hearing screening staff, audiologists, medical specialists,
primary care providers, early intervention providers and consumers.

Postsecondary Education Programs Network - South (PEPNet-South)
PEPNet-South (formerly the Postsecondary Education Consortium - PEC) is one of four regional centers that will help secondary and postsecondary institutions and other stakeholders more effectively address the transition, postsecondary, vocational, technical, continuing, and adult education needs of individuals who are deaf. PEPNet-South will serve Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and West Virginia. PEPNet-South is funded through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services (H326D060003).
